Chica Boyriven

Chica Boyriven has a rich and multicultural background, having lived between continents and immersed herself in two distinct cultures since her birth in São Paulo in 1961, to French parents. Her artistic journey began shortly after graduating from high school, when she moved to Paris and enrolled in the renowned School of Fine Arts. There, she had the opportunity to hone her drawing talent in the studio of Pierre Alechinsky, a prominent artist associated with the
COBRA movement (Copenhagen, Brussels, Amsterdam). The COBRA movement, known for its exaltation of primitive culture and unconventional art, including expressions of prehistoric and medieval art, became a fundamental source of inspiration for Chica Boyriven. For a decade, she devoted herself to the study and practice of various engraving techniques in the "Arts du Livre" studio, collaborating with the artist Mireille Baltar.

In addition, she completed her education by studying bookbinding for two years at the École Municipal des Métiers de l'Artisanat in Paris. Throughout her career, Chica has held several solo and group exhibitions,
exhibiting his works in galleries and cultural spaces in Brazil, France and Germany.
