Lidice Salgot
The theme led me to explore my photo archive of São Paulo, where I lived for 37 years, and Piracicaba, my hometown, where I returned to live. "Vai e Volta" reflects the displacements: the rush and tension of São Paulo in PB in contrast with the tranquility of Piracicaba with colorful images of the river, birds, fish and boats, representing the energy that invigorates us to live and create.
Lídice Salgot was born in Piracicaba, where she lives and works. She graduated in Advertising from FAAP - Faculty of Communication, in 1975, São Paulo (SP). She has been working in the visual arts since 1988, participating in salons, group and individual exhibitions, study groups and artistic residencies. She currently produces archived materials and personal memories - using photographs, texts, drawings, watercolors, books and objects.
